An Air Quality Alert is in effect for portions of Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana through tonight due to unhealthy ozone and wildfire smoke levels. Air quality is expected to be at unhealthy levels for everyone, especially older adults, young children, people with chronic medical conditions, and those who work or spend significant time outdoors.
What to Do:
Reduce long or intense outdoor activities and take more frequent breaks. Sensitive groups are strongly encouraged to reschedule activities or move them indoors whenever possible.
