Garage Sales are permitted for up to three (3) consecutive days, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.
- No more than three (3) garage sales may be held at the same residence within a calendar year.
- A minimum of thirty (30) days must pass between sales.
Signs:
- Signs must be placed on private property and located at least thirty (30) feet from the edge of the pavement.
- Signs may not exceed six (6) square feet per side and may not be more than six (6) feet in height above ground level.
- Balloons, streamers, banners, and other attention-grabbing devices are prohibited.
- All signs must be removed within three (3) hours after the sale concludes.
The Inverness Police Department offers a free "No Parking" sign loaner program for residents to help manage parking and keep neighborhoods safe during garage sales and similar events. Placing these signs on your neighbor's side of the street can help prevent damage to lawns and ensure clear access for emergency vehicles. Stop by the Police Department located at 1415 Baldwin Road during administrative hours (9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) to pick-up and drop-off signs.
